28 December 2009 |
| Barry
Ginnaw fished peg 39 at Goose green on the 28-12-09. After half hour he had
a bream to pole and red maggot, and then had to wait a further hour for
another bite and had another 3 bream to pole and pinkie and finished with 8
lb 8 oz. |

Martin Sutton fished Moor Farm on the 7th
November and send us the following
I fished the Bottom Lake at Moor Farm
yesterday (Saturday 7th Nov) and was pleased to see several other
anglers already there. I set up of the south side fishing in the corner
nearest to the Middle Lake. A keen wind was blowing and the water was quite
cool, however, fish were seen moving on the surface at the other end of the
lake, nearest the car park, but not where I was. Both rods were set up with
feeders and over a 3 hour period I tried a number of different baits. There
were one or two knocks but that was all. Just before 1200 one of the rods
made contact and after a good fight I landed a lovely Mirror Carp weighing
in at 14lbs 0ozs. Some 50 minutes later on the same rod, and still using a
hair rigged small halibut pellet, the rod leapt into action again. This
time the fight lasted for quite a while with the fish slowly coming to the
bank before heading off towards the middle again which it did on several
occasions. As the main line was only 6lbs breaking strain there was no
alternative but to let the fish have its way. Eventually it tired and a
good condition Common Carp came to the net. This one tipped the scales at
8lbs 4ozs. These were the only two fish I caught in the session but they
were certainly worth waiting for. |

9 October 2009 |
|
Match secretary, Barry Ginnaw fished Canada lake at Goose
Green on the 9th October, starting on the top 3 of his pole with maggot,
Barry had small fish and a Skimmer for about 2 lb. Later fishing pole at 8
mtrs with paste over 2mm pellet, Barry added 3 Carp to 4lb and 6 Bream to
2lb for a total of 27 lb 12 oz. |

3 October 2009 |
|
Martin Sutton fished
Moor Farm bottom lake on the 3rd October and sends the following report;

The change in the weather at the end of last
week certainly had its effect on the fish.
Arriving at Moor Farm’s Bottom Lake on
Saturday morning I joined several other anglers to set up in very windy
conditions. There were fish moving around but they were difficult to spot
given the chop on the surface of the water.
I set up both rods with feeders and fished one close in and one about 40
yards out, this being the one that saw action first. In a 3 hour session I
landed a total of 9 Common carp with a total weight of 33lbs 12ozs (15.3kgs
in new money!) with the best being a Common of exactly 8lbs 0ozs which was
caught on the rod fishing close into the bank.
These succumbed to either bacon grill paste pellets or small tutti fruitti
boilies. Other anglers were catching well and a good morning was had by
all.

Martin Sutton fished
Moor Farm bottom lake on the 26th September and sends the following report;
I set off on Saturday morning to fish the
Bottom Lake at Moor Farm. The sky was clear and there was no wind. The
overnight dew made the air feel cool but with the promise of sunshine it
looked to be the start of a good day. Setting up on peg 1, I fished both
rods with feeders, as there seemed to be little if any surface activity. I
had a number of ‘line bites’ and a few knocks but nothing to which I could
connect to. The morning continued and a number of fellow anglers arrived
and set up at various locations on the complex. With still no activity, I
decided to set up one rod with a controller float and a trimmed down pop-up
boilie, as there were some fish moving on the surface. A gentle north
easterly breeze started and I thought that this might start the fish
feeding. Soon after changing to fishing on the top I had a strong bite and
a 10 minute fight commenced – caused in part to the fact that I was only
using 6lb line on the rod. Eventually a lovely yellow colour Mirror carp
came to the net and weighed in at 10lbs 10ozs. This had taken some 4 hours
to catch but the wait was worthwhile. Nothing was taking on the other rod,
still using a Method feeder, and so I changed that over to a controller
float and surface bait. Some 45 minutes later a 4lb 8oz Common was in the
net. Once again Moor Farm shows its quality even if you do have to wait for
the fish! |
|
24 September 2009 |
|
Roger Eve fished the South East corner of the lower lake
at Moor farm on 24th September. on arrival, it was just light and a
beautiful still morning with a mist over the water. He fished two rods with
method feeders and hair rigged sweetcorn, casting "well out" and was soon
into fish. In a seven hour session he managed to land nineteen common carp
and one nice crucian. There was one rapid session when he caught 5 fish
while he was trying to eat a Cornish pasty! The latter was eventually
finished off by the black swan, that had been sitting nearby, while he was
unhooking the last fish. |
|
18 September 2009 |
|
Jon Taylor fished Deep Lake at Goose Green on the 18th
September, fishing the pole with pellet on the hook, Jon tempted four Chub
to 3-0-0, plus Crucians, Tench, Roach & Bream and also lost a good Carp. |
|
12 September 2009 |
|
Martin Sutton fished
Moor Farm bottom lake on the 12th September and sends the following report;
Arriving at Moor Farm I was pleasantly
surprised to see another angler had already arrived, as the past few weeks
have been very quiet. During the morning several more cars came and around
10 anglers were fishing during the time I was there. The morning was fine
but a little breezy and so there was no sign of movement on the surface. I
decided to fish the Bottom Lake on peg 6 and set one rod up with a
controller float and floating dog biscuit. This wasn’t touched and, as it
kept drifting back to the bank, I changed it over to a small feeder and
fished close in. The other rod was set up with a Method feeder and a
variety of soft paste pellets including bacon grill, halibut and meat
flavours.
The bites came quickly and then there were
periods of complete inactivity. At the end of a 4 hour session I had landed
6 Common carp, largest being 3lb 8ozs, all of which fought hard, as Moor
Farm carp do, and a equally hard fighting Tench of 1lb 12ozs. Another very
pleasant way to spend a morning and infinitely preferable to the gardening
tasks which I reluctantly had to return home to complete. |
|
6 September 2009 |
|
Mark Dibble fished the River Rother at Hardham on 6th September. Despite
recent rain leaving a tinge of colour in the water, Mark tried a couple of
swims but was unable to catch. He did however get the odd bite in both
swims.

|
4 September 2009 |
|
Martin Sutton fished
Moor Farm bottom lake on the 4th September and sends the following report;
The day started with a very autumnal feel.
The sky was clear and the wind was quite light, but the temperature was down
several degrees on previous morning. Setting up on the bank I could see
several fish moving close to the surface. I set one rod up with a
controller float and the other with a Method feeder. It was slow to begin
with and then the north westerly wind became blustery and as the cloud
bubbled up so the temperature was rising and falling.
The top rod arched around and I connected with
a lovely Common carp, taken off the surface and weighing in at 4lbs 15ozs.
It went quiet again and then bites came on both rods, so clearly the fish
were feeding on the surface and the bottom. From around 1130 onwards it was
a fish every 10 minutes or so. Unfortunately, I had to stop at 1230 but the
end result was 6 Commons and a Tench. Once again, Moor Farm has shown what
it can deliver. |
|
1 September 2009 |
|
Mark Dibble fished the River Rother upstream of Hardham on the 1st
September. His third outing to the river in a little over a week finally
produced a decent fish on his third cast. The 6lb 1oz Bream fell to a
legered pellet using a PVA bag of pellets for feed. Despite trying two
more swims Mark never had another bite, although again he did spot some
good sized Chub & a bigger fish he was unable to identify in the low clear
water.

|
30 August 2009 |
|
Vice Chairman, Terry Goodwin, fished Canada Lake at Goose
Green on the 30th August, Terry who ledgered bread crust caught six Carp as
follows
Common Carp of 2lb.12ozs, 3lb 12ozs, 7lb 8ozs, 3lb
10ozs, 3lb 4ozs and a Mirror Carp of 4lb 4ozs, in Terry's own words "not
huge but good fun".
|
|
29 August 2009 |
|
Mark Dibble returned to the River Rother at Hardham on 29th August to see
if he could improve on his last outing there. After trying several
swims improve he did with a very colourful Chub of about a pound. Mark
also spotted a couple of better Chub plus a good sized Carp & Sea Trout in
the clear water.
|
|
25 August 2009 |
|
Ray Clark was out and about again on the 25th of August,
this time electing to fish peg 75 on Deep Lake at Goose Green, once again
Ray was fishing with just the top three of his pole with pellet/corn on the
hook, his catch comprised Gudgeon, Tench, Crucians, Bream, Roach, Rudd,
Skimmers Carp to 1-8-0 and three Chub, the best of which topped the scales
at 4-0-0. |
|
23 August 2009 |
|
Mark Dibble fished a very low & clear River Rother at
Hardham on the morning of the 23rd August. In a swim about half way up the
second field Mark got indications on his first cast & hooked a decent fish
on his second (probably a Bream or Chub), but it threw the hook. After
that he never had another bite. Mark said, "I stayed in the swim for a
good while as a double figure Carp kept rising in front of me above some
thick weed. It wouldn't leave the sanctuary of that cover though so I
packed up, went to a B-B-Q & drank some cider instead. A nice day for it"
|
|
23 August 2009 |
|
Ray Clark fished the top lake at Moor Farm on the 23rd
August, Ray fishing with just the top 3 of his pole with pellet on the hook
caught 34 Crucians, including two over 2-0-0 and just one under the 1-0-0
mark, he also added Tench to 4-0-0 to his tally during the day. |
|
18 August 2009 |
|
Mike Dibble fished the River Adur below White Bridge on
the evening of the 15th August. Using feeder fished banded pellets it was
a bite a chuck from the Skimmers & Mike managed about a dozen to nearly
3lb plus a decent Roach. The session would have been even better if two
bigger Bream had stayed on the hook & not spooked the shoal. Mike reports
that other hook baits were not nearly as effective.
|
|
11 August 2009 |
|
Steve and Verity Ludlow fished their favourite swim on
Deep Pond at Goose Green on the 11th August, fishing the waggler with
pellet Steve caught a steady succession of Roach, Rudd, Tench, Skimmers &
Gudgeon, Steve reports that at one pointy he was plagued by the Gudgeon
and one Gudgeon bite sailed off into the deeper water, and after a bit of
a struggle, it turned out to be a small Common Carp of around 2-0-0,
shortly after another bite resulted in one of the infamous flying Bream of
around 1-8-0.
|
|
4 August 2009 |
|
Steve and Verity Ludlow made a return visit to Deep Lake
at Goose Green on the 4th August, after briefly contemplating trying
floating baits for the carp moving on the surface the pair decided to target
the many small Tench & Crucians in the lake, fishing the waggler to the
marginal lilies, Steve caught Gudgeon, Rudd, Roach, Crucians and Tench on
corn and strawberry pellets. Later in the session with pellet on the hook,
Steve hooked into and landed a 1-8-0 Mirror Carp, followed immediately by
another that might have been a bit weightier as it managed to break Steve's
2lb10oz hook length. |

3 August 2009 |
Andrew Eggleden sends the following report re his trips
to Goose Green with his two young sons:
I have just joined
Pulborough A S with a family membership and thought I would let you know
of our success. I introduced my 2 sons Jake (11) and Ben (7) to fishing
for the first time last month and on our first visit fished Heron without
a single bite !
The following week we
fished Canada with a mixed bag of small fish. The boys were thrilled they
actually caught something this time !
We have just returned
from fishing Deep lake today with a bag containing Gudgeon, Roach, Bream,
Tench, Skimmers, Perch, Chub ( 1lb 6) and 2 Common Carp ( 3lb and 5 lb).
The boys were absolutely delighted and I now seem to have two new fishing
companions to help me get back into the sport I had long forgotten about.
Thanks for helping
introduce my sons to fishing by providing such a well maintained fishery
at Goose Green.

2 August 2009 |
|
Goose Green was a hive of activity on Sunday 2nd August
with anglers to be found on all but two of the venues lakes and ponds, Deep
Lake saw Karen Ginnaw fishing peg 75 where she caught a 2 lb Chub and 1-8-0
Bream plus small Tench, Roach, Perch & Gudgeon to short pole and corn/
maggot for a total net of 4-11-0, hubby Barry was to found on adjacent peg
76, where he caught 1 Carp of 1-8-0 on the feeder plus small Carp and bits
on the pole and maggot for a net of 5-12-0.
Kingfisher Lake saw Ray Clark enjoying a days fishing,
Ray fishing pole & pellet caught Bream, Skimmers, Roach, Rudd and Gudgeon
more or less non stop all day, also on Kingfisher lake was Mark Emery, Mark
also fishing pole and pellet had a comparable net to Ray's bag with Roach,
Rudd, Crucians, Skimmers, Tench & Bream coming to his waiting net. |

1 August 2009 |
|

Martin Sutton fished Moor Farm on the 1st
August and send us the below report.;
Arriving at the car park at 7.30am I was
surprised to find that I was the only one there. I set up on the first peg
and could already see fish cruising around on the surface. I rigged one rod
with a Method Feeder and initially halibut pellet bait, whilst the other rod
had a controller float and dog biscuit. Although the fish were active on
the surface it was the Method that brought the first result – a Common
weighing in at 3lbs 12ozs. This was soon followed by another two others
weighting 4lb 12ozs and 4lb 6ozs. It then went quiet for a while and around
30 minutes later the other rod sprung around and I took another Common ,
tipping the scales at 4lbs 10ozs, from the surface.
The cloud cover started to increase, the wind got up and bites dried up.
Some 2½ hours later, on my last cast before packing up, the Method worked
again. A long slow battle ensued and eventually the fish came to the net.
This one was a very fine Mirror which was a very respectable 10lbs 8ozs. Moor
Farm continues to provide excellent sport and entertainment. Martin is
pictured to the right with his 10-8-0 Mirror Carp.
Also fishing at Moor
Farm on Saturday the 1st was Chris Cannon, Chris who was fishing the middle
lake started the day with a Common Carp of just under 4-0-0 and lost a good
fish at the net, Chris's day got progressively worse apparently and the wind
and rain steadily increased and seemed to put the fish off.
Despite the weather
Chris stayed at the venue until the evening and is glad he did as he
finished the session with a Mirror Carp of 15-10-0 caught on floating crust. |
|
25 July 2009 |
|
Mike Dibble fished the River Adur below White Bridge on
the evening of 25th July. Using banded 6mm pellet he caught Bream of 2lb &
3lb before a quiet spell prompted a change to corn. This produced a
Hybrid, Mike then lost a fish & ended the session with an Eel.
|
|
19 July 2009 |
|
Jon Taylor fished a short afternoon
session at Moor Farm on the 19th July, Jon fishing the pole & pellet caught
a shed load of small Carp to 3-8-0, plus three larger examples of 7-0-0 &
9-0-0 |
|
19 July 2009 |
|
Mike Dibble fished the Rother at Hardham on 19th July. In
his own words it was "hard fishing" with the river running very clear
despite the recent rains. Legered pellet never tempted a bite & switching to
a worm/corn cocktail only produced a large Eel. A bored Mike then set up the
stick float & took seven Gudgeon on worm. No sign of a Chub or Bream on this
outing. |
|
19 July 2009 |
|
Mark Dibble fished the River Arun at Washingham on 19th
July. Using groundbait feeder & pellet he managed just two proper bites
during the session but they both produced a nice Bream. The first was about
5lb & the second weighed 6lb 2oz. |
|
9 July 2009 |
|
Val Clark made a welcome return to the bank on the 9th
July, Val set up on peg 33 on Canada Lake at Goose Green and what a bonus
day she had, Val fishing with corn on the pole, caught 22 Bream, Carp to
9-4-0, plus Roach, Rudd & Tench for a total net of 85-0-0.
Watch out chaps, that Clark woman is back ;-) |
|
8 July 2009 |
|
Steve & Verity Ludlow fished Deep Lake at Goose Green on
the 8th July, the pair set up in cloudy conditions that soon cleared to hot
sun, they were just about to start when it rained and it rained and it
rained, they wondered whether to go while the going good once it had
stopped, but decided to stay. Steve used the the strawberry jelly
pellets again close to the margin lilies and caught many small Gudgeon and
one or two massive Gudgeon, he also caught a good haul of Tench and a single
Skimmer, later in the session he lost something big that he managed to steer
away from the lilies into deeper water, but it eventually broke him before
he could get it near enough to the surface to see what it was. |
|
5 July 2009 |
|
Steven Jasper fished Moor Farm bottom lake on the 5th
July and reports that he had an absolutely amazing day, with 16 Carp,
Commons, Mirrors and a Leather, mostly in the 5-0-0 to 8-0-0 range, but he
also caught Carp of 10-0-0, 11-0-0 & 12-0-0, the majority of his fish were
caught on floaters. |
|
3 July 2009 |
|
Undaunted by the poor fishing the day before Steve and
Verity Ludlow made a return visit to Deep Lake at Goose Green on the 3rd
July, the water was coloured from the overnight rain and the temperature
had dropped a little. Steve fished the marginal lilies and had only some
tentative bites on corn, but a switch to strawberry jelly pellets made the
difference and the Tench came in droves for the rest of the session, bites
were apparently a little tentative still, but as the sun went down things
went really mad with Tench taking on the drop plus a few of the lakes
small Carp which fought spectacularly well on light match tackle.
|
|
2 July 2009 |
|
Steve & Verity Ludlow were to be found at their
favourite haunt of Deep Lake at Goose Green on the 2nd July, the pair
worked hard in deep corner to catch half a dozen or so Gudgeon so small
they had to eat most of each hook bait to get the strength to almost take
a 3BB waggler under. Two small rudd were a bonus, unfortunately the Tench
& Carp didn't want to come out to play on this trip.
|
|
30 June 2009 |
|
Steve & Verity Ludlow enjoyed another good session on
Deep Lake at Goose Green on the 30th June, fishing a variety of different
baits they caught mainly Tench but also some Rudd and tiny Gudgeon. There
was a lull in the action as the sun went off the water so they tried baits
other than corn, i.e. meat, pellet and bread paste, the Tench came back
later and the general good fishing continued. Unfortunately this time
they didn't finish the session with a Chub, but with a suicidal meat
eating Perch.
|
|
30 June 2009 |
|
Reece Williams has enjoyed many hours
targeting the Carp on the Arun since the season opened, his patience was
finally rewarded with the capture of a 11-12-0 Mirror Carp that fell to hair
rigged 21mm pellet.
|
|
29 June 2009 |
|
Mark Dibble fished the River Adur during the evening
of 28th June. Starting on "The Davits" corner Mark caught a Bream
about 2lb 12oz & lost what he thinks was a half decent Chub. Not happy
with the way things were going he moved downstream to Carp Corner. Here a
further six Bream between 2lb 8oz to 3lb 8oz, a near 2lb Chub & a 5lb 8oz
Mirror Carp all put in an appearance. His usual groundbait feeder/pellet
combo did the trick.
|
|
28 June 2009 |
|
Chris May, Jamie Strong and Gary Cooke fished an over
night session on Canada Lake at Goose Green on the 27-28 June.
The trio arrived late on Saturday before it got dark in
order to set up for a long night of what they hoped to be good fishing.
Gary fished peg 24 with ledgered halibut pellet but unfortunately failed
to get anything more than knocks all night. Chris caught a lovely
5lb Common using his method feeder just as the sun went down but then too
failed to catch any more that night. Jamie was trying his hardest but
failed to catch.
The following morning brought warm sunshine and fresh
hope, which was soon answered with Gary pulling in a lovely 5lb Mirror,
followed by a 1lb 8oz Bream. The carp started to break the surface, so
Gary switched to a floating dog biscuit which landed him an 8lb Mirror.
This was followed straight away by a 3lb Bream on the ledger. Chris then
also landed himself a 8lb Mirror and for the pair the day continued to
delivery 1-2lb Carp and Bream. A frustrated but happy Jamie still had
nothing to show but they all agreed that they would have to return again
some time soon to do it all again.

27 June 2009 |
|
Martin Sutton made a return visit to Moor Farm on the
27th June and sends us the following report;
Moor Farm never
ceases to surprise. Having checked the forecast which predicted a
sweltering day, I arrived to find thick fog – so thick that it felt like it
was drizzling. This soon burnt off and the clouds eventually parted to
provide a nice sunny day. Fishing the Bottom Lake I set up one rod close
into the bank and used a small feeder with a worm and small red rubber grub
on the hook. This produced a number of small Perch as well as a nice Rudd
and several Tench to 1lb 6ozs. Changing to a boilie several more Tench
appeared and a lovely Roach weighing in at 1lb 4ozs.
Although fish had been moving on the top they
did not appear to be interested in floating baits. As the sun warmed
everything up the fish started to feed and using a controller float with an
‘oily floater pellet’ as hook bait, I landed a nice Mirror Carp weighing in
at 5lb 4ozs followed by two Commons; the largest being 7lb 8ozs.
A very varied pattern of weather throughout
the morning produced probably the widest range of species that I had caught
in one session – once again, Moor Farm never ceases to please or amaze me. |
|
25 June 2009 |
|
Steve & Verity Ludlow were to be found back at their
favourite haunt of Deep Lake at Goose Green again the 25th June, Steve
fishing the waggler and alternating between pellet & meat, put together a
net of Tench, Crucians, Rudd, Roach and then to round off the session he
added a small Carp of approx 1lb on corn.
|
|
23 June 2009 |
|
Mark Dibble fished the River Arun at Greatham on 23rd
June. Using groundbait feeder fished pellet Mark managed a couple of Bream
around 5lb & a smaller one at nearly 3lb. The highlight of the session was
an 11lb Common Carp.
|
|
23 June 2009 |
|
Steve & verity Ludlow fished the large double swim on
Deep Lake at Goose Green on the 23rd June, fishing the margins with corn
Steve put together a net of Tench& Rudd, a change to meat saw further Tench
and a bonus Chub. |
|
20 June 2009 |
|
Martin Sutton sends the following
report on his day at Moor Farm;
I fished the Bottom Lake on Saturday 20th
and had a very pleasant morning. The weather was changeable with cloud
varying from fully overcast to only partial cover providing warm sunny
spells. Occasionally, light drizzle fell but not as heavy as to necessitate
donning waterproofs. The water temperature was very warm and several fish
were cruising near the surface although reluctant to take any floating
baits. During the morning two Environmental Agency staff came around and
checked licences. As always, this was done in a very friendly manner and
showed that regulation can be done efficiently without being officious.
I ended the morning with 4 Common carp, the
largest being 5lbs 0ozs, a nice Crucian and a Tench which weighed in at 2lbs
6ozs. All fell to a method feeder and a variety of baits including boilies
and small halibut pellets. |
|
16 June 2009 |
|
Steve & Verity Ludlow fished Deep Lake at Goose Green
on the 16th June, fishing pellet & waggler Steve caught a monster
Gudgeon that was no more than 2" long and a Crucian, electing to move to
the other side of the lake steve went onto catch a mass on small Tench,
Gudgeon & Roach.
|
|
16 June 2009 |
|
Mark Dibble fished below White Bridge on the River Adur
at Upper Beeding, 16th June. Despite an unfavourable tide Mark was
confident he could do something with the rising river in an early morning
sprint session before work, but all he did was catch a 1lb 11oz Eel. Mark
added, "a Barn Owl that kept hunting along the far bank was a sight worth
getting up for though".

|
10 June 2009 |
|
Martin Sutton send us this report from his day at Moor
Farm with son Hugh on the 10th June;

I managed to arrange a short late afternoon / evening session at Moor Farm
and persuaded Hugh to come along as well. We set up on Peg 1 at the Bottom
Lake and started fishing. Sport was slow to begin with and I caught a 3lb
Common using the Method with a small halibut
pellet as hook bait. Despite a 3 year break from fishing, Hugh soon got
back into the swing of things and before long, fishing close in with a small
feeder and Super Stench boilie, he landed a Common
weighing in at 6lbs 0ozs. He was soon followed this with another Common
tipping the scales at 4lbs 4ozs. Having changed to a controller float and
hair rigged dog biscuit, I hooked up with several others, who were now
actively feeding on the surface, but failed to land any of them.
A very enjoyable session all the same |
|
6 June 2009 |
|
Jamie Strong and Chris May fished Moor Farm on the
6th June, Jamie & Chris fished for the middle lake for approx three hours,
Chris fishing with a method feeder with halibut pellet caught four Carp of
around 2-0-0 a piece, Jamie elected to fish a straight ledger with bread on
the hook, unfortunately didn't catch anything, so the pair moved to the
bottom lake, Chris continued to fish the method and caught a further five
Carp plus a Crucian, whilst Jamie went with PVA bags filled with bread crumb
and went on to catch nine Carp, Crucians and a Tench. |
|
6 June 2009 |
|
Martin Sutton fished the Bottom lake at Moor Farm on the
6th June and sends the below report;
I fished the
Bottom Lake at Moor Farm yesterday and had a very successful session. The
weather was overcast with light rain for most of the morning but the lake
water temperature was quite high. It would seem that the fish are back on
the feed after their recent spawning session and making up for lost meals.
I fished peg 1 using a Method feeder on one rod, with small halibut pellets,
and a small ledgered bait of soft meat paste pellets on the other. The
catch comprised Roach, a couple of Tench to 1lb 4ozs and 13 Common Carp
weighing between 1lb and 4lbs. The majority of the fish fell to the Method
which was working very well indeed. The total catch weight was in the order
of 40lbs. |
|
2 June 2009 |
|
Steve & Verity Ludlow made a welcome
return to the bank after their winter break on the 2 June, the duo fished
Deep Lake at Goose Green with waggler fished corn for a shedful of small
Tench & Roach. |
|
2 June 2009 |
Simon Parker (Snr) send us this report;
After my first fish with the society on the 22nd May on
Heron Lake at Goose Green, which was a good short session, I travelled to
the Middle Lake at Moor Farm on Sunday 31st May, after a long day
with nothing much happening on the ledger, I started surface fishing with
bread, only to have a bit of interest but missing every little chance that
did come, however at around 4:00pm, my bread disappeared from the surface
only to produce a definite take and after around 10-15 minutes I landed my
first double weighing in at 16Ib 13oz.
No matter that the day had very little action this
catch made my day.
