May we once again remind members that boilies are banned
on all Society lakes & ponds with the exception of Moor Farm, during a
bailiff session at Goose Green today, no less than four members were to be
found using the banned baits, one of the members concerned, quite simply
should have known better, it clearly states in your membership book that
boilies are banned, please take the time to read your rule book and
familiarise yourself with the rules for our fisheries. |

We again remind members
that fishing from the Dam wall between Lakes 3 & 4 is strictly prohibited,
fishing whilst sat on the overflow pipes between Lakes 3 & 2, as was
witnessed recently, is also not allowed, in addition, we kindly ask that
members only fish from the prepared and completed swims on Lake 2, the

1 April 2007 |
|
The planned opening date of 1st April for
Lake 2, has unfortunately not been met and the lake remains closed to
anglers until further notice.
Whilst
the remainder of the planting will be completed as & when, we still have the
swims to build and this is a time consuming task to say the least,
please
come and help THE FEW, even if it is only for a couple of hours ,
the sooner we get the swims built, the sooner you can fish the lake.
For the benefit of those who wish to
come and help, we hold working parties at Goose Green every Saturday,
starting at 0900hrs, all assistance gratefully accepted, even if you can
only spare an hour, we will be holding a
two day work party on the Friday & Saturday of the forthcoming Easter
weekend. |
|
6 August 2006 |
|
For the benefit of all anglers not just
our members, may we remind you that holding fish in towels, either wet or
dry, is entirely unacceptable, as of course is the mistreatment of fish
stocks in anyway whatsoever, any member found mishandling fish stocks on
any Pulborough AS water will receive an official written warning and have
their membership book endorsed by the bailiff, any further instances of
abuse will result in immediate loss of membership.
In more severe cases of mistreatment, the
member will bought before the committee, as is the case with one member
the bailiffs caught weighing fish this week by inserting the hook from
their set of scales into the fishes mouth and hanging the fish up to weigh
it!!, this behaviour is totally unacceptable and will result in immediate
loss of membership.
