The past two weekends have been
witness to the Junior Team trials, both trials took place at our popular
Goose Green fishery, the first trial on the 19th April saw just 3 cunning
juniors show up to fish Heron Lake in atrocious weather conditions,
Fergus, Shaz & Chris fished the pole close in, two 1lb weights were caught &
a large 9lb weight was reeled in by Chris.
Trial No. 2 took place on Deep Lake
at Goose Green on the 26th April, this time 11 willing junior anglers turned
up to chance their luck, after the anglers set up they attempted a variety
of methods & it did not go well. Let’s just say only 3 fish were caught!!!.
The rule ‘you can’t have weather & fish’ came into effect. The junior teams
selected for the forthcoming Junior League to be held against other local
clubs is as follows:
